Open space games may protect children from short sightedness

New York: Researchers have demonstrated that when children play regularly in the open air than they will have fewer chances to be affected from short sightedness compared to children of the same age who prefer playing indoors.
Several studies have been conducted from the Optometry and Vision Science Journal and scientists have shown that children will have a better vision from distance if they will spend more time outdoor instead of staying indoor.
Reasons for this are still unclear but this happening, they believe, it is not related to the quality and quantity of exercises while the exposition to the sun light can play an important role
Moreover, staying outdoor kids are forced focusing on distant objects and, other studies carried out on animals, suggested that this may influence the development of the eye helping to prevent the beginning of the short sightedness.

By the way, the new researches haven’t still demonstrated how looking at close objects such as books or PCs may increase the development of this vision defect.

Dr. Jane Gwiazda e Li Deng of the New England College of Optometry of Boston have conducted a study with 13 years old children as the scientists wanted to check their sight during a period of time; 191 parents have answered a questionnaire where they reported the measured sight for their kids every year over a period of time.

The researchers have discovered that children with short sight usually spend around 8 hours outdoor in a week compared to children without vision defect spending approximately 13 hours.

Children with short sight also were prone to watch more TV while it hasn’t still found a relation between this sight defect with the time spent on reading, studying or using a PC.

In Austrialia and Singapore, other 2 independent studies have found a similar relation between time spent outdoor and reduced short sight problem.

Children’s feelings and adults’ rationality

The child and his family are going to the shopping center.
When the child notices a lovely toy car, he soon asks his dad: “Daddy may I have that toy car?”
The dad replies: “There’ no money”
The child thinks; “What kind of answer is this? Haven’t I asked for money? Maybe he was distracted from something else and he hasn’t paid attention on what I have said.
The child re-asks: “Dad, I want that toy car”
The dad re-answers: “I’ve already told you that there’s no money”
The child tries to clarify even more:” Dad, I haven’t’ asked for money, I want that toy car”.
The dad answers annoyed: “I’ve already told you that there’s no money. Shut up or I slap you!”

Option:
“I’ve already told that there’s no money”. He slaps the guy and says: “Shut up!”

The child is now silent and starts crying! He’s puzzled as he does not understand what’s going on. What is the link between money and the toy car? He still hasn’t developed the sense for abstraction which is a rational quality.

He feels and recognizes what he wants.

Analysis:
When the child asks for something, it would be useful on answering with the same kind of “language”.
If the child wants a toy car and you cannot buy anything straightaway, better would be on telling him to be patient and he will have his car later on. The child can now understand it and he is calm.

An unreasonable and abstract refusal, if repeated, may cause problems to children and the way they will relate to the outside world or also within their own family.
Unawareness, he may develop a sense of powerlessness on achieving his targets because he will always aspect a refuse or a punishment and he will start thinking that the world is full of unfairness.

Who knows the Law of Attraction clearly understands that if a feeling of misery will become part of the personality than this will affect the child/future adult in many situations. Thus, he will become the victim of injustice. For example, at school he will be clever but a less clever class mate will gain better mark. Or, in a list, somebody below him will be moved above him.  Furthermore, in a relationship, he/she will desire somebody who is already involved in another relation.

Here are just small ideas for conscious parents!

To Bring up = To pay attention!

Suggestions for future parents – Put yourself on baby’s shoes?

During the 9 months of gravidity, the product of conception (human in this case), lives and grows in a protect environment: the maternal womb.
Imagine this place as quiet, warm, dark, comfortable, everything needed from a baby is offered without any effort. This is the most suitable ambient for meditation, as this is the perfect “spiritual place”.
Within this environment, this little thing creates his perceptions: eyes, ears, touch, taste and the smell but they are still not “calibrated”= sensitive to determine the frequency and the intensity because they don’t have any reference.
Now think that the new born has just left this comfortable and wonderful place, moving to the outside world. This is a big trauma!
He does not open his eyes, avoiding being blinded. Better would be their gradual adaptation to the light through its filtration with their eyelids closed, he can keep his eyes closed, often tightening them (Have you ever heard parents saying: “When will you open your eyes? Can you see or not? And perhaps bringing a light bulb closer).
And how can they close their ears? Unfortunately for ears there’s no protection.
Imagine how babies perceive the minimum rustle and, we all have experienced the discomfort of hearing a high level sound.
Baby does not have any protection against this sensitivity, he cannot stand his harms on protecting his ears and easily he jumps at every noise.
For touch is applied the same principle, a minimum pressure is perceived as a pain. Imagine his pain on receiving a smack on his bottom.
Smell has a little protection through the nasal secretion, however, it is common of removing them as they are formed.
The only saved sense is the taste, if baby is fed with mum’s milk. It’s warm, sweet and very filling. The only disadvantage: he needs to cry to get it!
That’s it the picture of new born babies during the first days (months) of their lives.
I’ve understood what happens to babies one day when I was visiting my nephew in law. He was  with his new born, only few days old, and he was taking  the baby in a small place, sunny while  pumping a music at high volume; also  he hugged him very tightly and telling him loudly: “love of my life”.
With years this child has always had problems of appetite (acceptance), infection of respiratory airways (oppression), tonsillitis (induction) this is up of his age of 5 years.

Suggestions for parents:
The ideal environment for your baby should recreate the maternal womb, therefore it should be silent and dark. You may avoid taking him outside during daytime before his eyes are completely open. If you want to show affection, please do not hug him tightly, while you might fondle them softly on his back. Researches have demonstrated that tenders help developing the Nervous System and hence his perceptions.
Of course, it is helpful for children that dads are actively involved on bringing them up, with all tender they will be able to show.

To Bring up = To pay attention!

The upbringing of children, in the first years of their lives, is normally led to the indication, from educators, to social models already accepted which children should learn.

This is completely in opposition from the first aim for upbringing, self explanatory from the etymology of the word:

Educare  (To bring up) = Ex Ducere.  It means the action of leading somebody from inside to the outside, therefore the identification of the individual qualities and bringing them out.
The opposite of “educare” is
Indurre (To induce) = In Ducere.  It means an action from outside to inside, hence the act to conform something to somebody.
The result is that “upbringing” is a simple “act of induction”.

The upbringing, calls for spending time on observation and identification of individual peculiar qualities and encouraging on their development; while induction is more immediate and corresponds only to “Do it, with no reply”.

On aspect of the induction is the “expectation” of parents on children’s results. In fact, the child should match with an ideal model, a way of being a parent, or the child must excel on every competition (the basic for bullism!).

In simple terms, children have been taught to act in their lives as they are characters of a drama which are not themselves. All these actions require a lot of efforts and consumption of vital resources. (Being your self doesn’t ask for any effort or use of extra vital resources!)

My daughter Alessia, one day, coming out from School asked me: “Daddy, why don’t you tell me off when I have a low mark at school? My friend’s dads always reproach them when they have low marks and they shout to them”. I replied: “I’m happy to see that you are ok and that you enjoy studying without pain and following your attitude, I will happy to help if you ask me”.

Please think to the psycho- physic stress given to children from the age of 6-7 years: 7 or 8 hours of lessons and study every day, to add to recreational activities like gym, swimming, dancing, etc. On the top of this, parents stress children for their expectations.  This is likely to be “Legalized exploitation of minors”.

With regards to my daughter, if one day she will ask to don’t go to school because she is tired and she would prefer to sleep, I will be happy to please her.

My experience as a GP taught that where the induction is forced, discomfort and illness may start, usually illness hits the pulmonary system (air, space, freedom, oppression!) or the digestive system [submission (diarrhea),  refusal (vomit) or also the ear (obligations, duties, offence, sneering)].
